Al Hilal has a never-ending story with championships and a history that started with the beginning of  history itself. Al Hilal has an exciting miraculous foundation story.

It is long but great. Nothing could be added to or deleted from it. It can be only told by its source; the mentor of sportsmen and one of the pioneers of sports, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Said who tells the story from the scratch, from imagination to reality and from a dream that has come true. He says, " The beginning was extremely difficult. We faced hardships that were about to devastate the whole idea. I have benefited from my  previous 10- year experience when we founded Al Shabab Club in 1967. At that time, your mere affiliation to sport would have a misfortunate end. We willingly joint this activity, believing that sport is equivalent to politics. Our weapon at the time was the proverb " The wisest man is the most tolerant". We were not after money since it was beyond reach. The team, named �the Olympic�, was stopped, and was obliged not to practice its sport activity, claiming that sports is a waste of time. Then "the Olympic" came back to build it self for a whole year, carefully, with fear. It did not attend friendly or benefit matches, with other clubs, specially the significant ones, as the Youth, EL Ahly in Riyadh, though the request of these clubs to meet the Olympic, however it refused them all. Among these requests, dated on 2/8/1377 H, 10/10/1377 H, 14/10/1377 H, 18/10/1377 H, 15/6/1378 H, and 23/7/1378 H. It remained preparing by strong and intensive trainings, along with planning for a better future, after a large number of players joined it, most of them from the Youth club. Resignations started in the Youth club day after another, till it reached nearly half of the team. But the Youth club was not affected by this, because of its large number of members at that time. The Olympic joined a number of players, as Mubarak Abd El Kereem, who is a first class football player, Saleh Gaber, the best playmaker and footballer, Saleh Aman, one of the best defenders in the Kingdom, Mohamed Kamel, known as �the coach�, an excellent left wing player, Abd El Rahman Bin Mozan, the best right wing player at his time, Youssef Khair Allah, �El denamo�, and  plenty of others. Thereby, the Olympic, currently El Hilal, was established on 21/3/1377 H. This date was considered the birth of this club. It was named, "El Hilal", as the first Saudi- Arabian club to be named by a royal order of the King Sood Bin Abd El Aziz Al Sood, God rest his soul, on 21/5/1378 H. We chose its blue and white logo, to distinguish it from the other colors of other clubs. A board to manage the club was appointed, included two consultants for the board. This title did not exist in the clubs then. By the beginning of official participations in the region, as a trial in 1380 H., we were ready. The board was formed as follows:

The general assembly of the club was held in the mid year, to modify the council, by joining two new members, Mr. Naser Bin Gared, and Mr. Abd El Aziz El Aweed, as successors for Mr. Abd El Rahman El Samary, and Mr. Abd El Aziz Hayzan, who both resigned. Also, Abd El Aziz El Aweed resigned in the mid year, and was replaced by Mohamed Bin Abdullah Bin Hayzan. Al Hilal Club achieved great success in 1381 H., by winning the championship of the Great King�s Cup, after four years of its foundation.
