Poll
Al Hilal has a never-ending story with championships and a history
that started with the beginning of history itself. Al Hilal has an
exciting miraculous foundation story.
It is long but great. Nothing could be added to or deleted from it.
It can be only told by its source; the mentor of sportsmen and one of the
pioneers of sports, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Said who tells the story from the
scratch, from imagination to reality and from a dream that has come true. He
says, " The beginning was extremely difficult. We faced hardships that were
about to devastate the whole idea. I have benefited from my previous 10-
year experience when we founded Al Shabab Club in 1967. At that time, your mere
affiliation to sport would have a misfortunate end. We willingly joint this
activity, believing that sport is equivalent to politics. Our weapon at the
time was the proverb " The wisest man is the most tolerant". We were
not after money since it was beyond reach.
The team activities were suspended and it was named 'El-Olympy'.
It was obligated not to practice sport activity under the pretense
that sport wasting time.
El-Olympy team came back to build itself within a whole year
carefully and in absence from friendly and benefit matches with other clubs.
Especially, the most important of them, such as Al-Shabab and
Al-Ahly in Riyadh, in spite of the many requests of these clubs to play with
"El-Olympy", El-Olympy" team refused these requests in letters
dated on 2/8/1377 A.H , 10/10/1377 A.H, 14/10/1377 A.H, 18/10/1377 A.H,
15/6/1378 A.H, 23/7/1378 A.H
Then it kept preparing, in strong and intensive exercises,
for better future after the joining of many players, who most of them are
players in Al-Shabab club, in which the resignations started day after
day until they reached the half of team approximately.
However, Al-Shabab club would not have been affected, because of
the many players affliated to it at that time
'El-Olympy' club embraced a number of players, such as:
Moubark Abdel Karim, who is the best player and first class striker.
Saleh Gaber, who is the best games and play maker. Saleh Aman, who
is one of the best defenders in the Saudi Kingdom.
And Mohamed Kamel, called kosh is a an excellent left winger
and striker . Abdel Rahman Bin Mouzan, who is the best right winger at that
time. Youssef Khair Allah, called "Al-Denmo" and others a lot.
Thus 'El-Olympy' named "AL-Hilal" now
Founded on 21/3/1377 A.H. That date was the birth date of that club
and named Al-Hilal as the first Saudi club named according to a royal order of
the late king Saud Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud on 21/5/1378 A.H.
We chose its motto in blue and white color to be different
from the other clubs colors. Aboard was designated to manage the club, included
among its members board consultants.
At that time, this designation was not existed in the other
clubs. And with the beginning of official participations in the zone as an
experiment in 1380 A.H, we were ready and the organization of board came
as follows:
· Abdul Rahman Bin
Said (president)
· Mohamed Bin
Ghashian (vice-president)
· Abdul Rahman Bin
Shoail (treasurer)
· Mohamed Al-
Mosybih (member)
· Abdul Aziz Abu
Shank (member)
· Fahd Bin Hizan
(member)
· öAbdul Rahman Al-Semary (member)
· Abdul Aziz Bin
Haizan (member)
· Abdul Rahman
Al-Hayef (member)
· Osman Shawky
(Sudanese) (consultant)
· Abdul Hamid Ahmen
(Sudanese) )consultant)
The general assembly of club was held in the middle year for
modifying the board through the joining of two new members, Messrs, Naser Bin
Greed, and Abdul Aziz Al-Aoyed as successor of Messrs Abdul Rahman Al-Semary,
and Abdul Aziz Bin Haizan, who has submitted their resignations.
Abdul Aziz Al- Aoyed has submitted also his resignation at the
middle of that year, so Mohamed Bin Abdullah Bin Haizan took his place.
Al-Hilal achieved a tremendous accomplishment in 1381 A.H with its winning of
championship after four years from its foundation.
